Toronto We Love You but Enough with The World Cup...
As some of you Tickr fans may know, our team is based in Toronto — one of the world’s most diverse cities. With almost 50% of the population born outside of Canada, after the host city, it may be the best place to experience World Cup fever.
That is of course, if you don’t mind seeing a ridiculous amount of lame car flags every where you turn.
Please note the cars that have...

Lance Armstrong Retiring Again?
Lance Armstrong announced via twitter Monday that the 2010 Tour de France will be his last, “It’s been a great ride… Looking forward to three great weeks.” At 38, it’s probably a safe bet that this will be his last ride? But you never know with Lance? Lance, regardless of your finish this year, we think you deserve all the pies you can eat. Happy retirement!

MLB Teams, Stick to Classic Baseball Design...
putthison:
wellplaid:
The only MLB team to still wear a chain stitched jersey.
Easily my favorite MLB logo. I have a 40s-style Cards hat with the birds and the bat from the late, lamented Cooperstown Ballcap Co. and it’s one of my favorite garments. The chain stitching here is absolutely lovely.
Not sure why certain MLB teams stray away from the classic baseball design style....

We’re big fans of Gary Vaynerchuk, so when we saw he traveled to the New York Jets’ new stadium to taste the new Jets Uncorked wine, we had to share.
We like to think we’re cultured like that. Plus you get a great insiders view of the new stadium!

Obama Refuses to do The Wave
President Obama attended the Washington Nationals/Chicago White Sox game this past Friday. At one point during the game, Nationals fans started doing the ‘Wave’. Obama, took a stand that many of us wish we had the walnuts to take, and refused to participate.

In case you missed it. This was Ron Artest’s bizarre post-game interview after Game 7 on Thursday night. Actually, based on Ron Artest’s track record, it’s not really that bizarre.

Photo: Splash News GoFugYourself.com, a site that we bookmark on our girl’s computer and check frequently post this picture of Tom Brady yesterday.
We know ‘The Bieb’ is in right now but we can’t see Gisele being into this type of mop. If she is, we got some growing to do…and some Lombardi trophies to win. BRB. Hat tip to our friend Jules for the heads up.

10 Years Later, Tiger Woods' Mojo Vastly Different...
Photo: ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images In 2000, Tiger Woods put on what many consider to be the most dominant performance in golf history. Ten years later, Tiger’s world has change dramatically and as he gets ready to tee it up this week at the 2010 U.S. Open many are wondering if he’ll even be playing on the weekend?
Here’s a look back at Tiger’s 15-stroke win in 2000....

Lance Armstrong Not to Happy About Photoshopped...
The shirt that Lance wore for the Outside Magazine cover shoot was just a plain blue T. Outside added the 38. BFD. text, which lead to the tweet below from Mr. Armstrong.
Worth the outrage or BFD?

Chris Pronger's Interview Antics, Plus How He...
barberd:
I never realized this until recently - Chris Pronger is quite the character. If you haven’t heard, he’s been stealing pucks from Chicago for the past two games. Apparently, it’s typical for the home team to get the pucks after a game but every time the horn goes off at the end of the game, Pronger rushes out and scoops the puck…I particularly love the part that...

The earplugs, marketed as the “Vuvu-Stop,” have a label on the back of the packet which reads: Highly effective noise reduction. Uses include soccer, rugby, or for couch potatoes to block out your wife’s moaning.” — africasia.com

Mayor Bloomberg Has a Serious Man Crush on LeBron...
We didn’t realize Mayor Bloomberg had such strong feelings towards LeBron James. On Thursday, Bloomberg took some time out of his busy schedule to launch the “C’mon LeBron” campaign with a video in which he pleads, “C’mon, LeBron, write the next chapter in NYC basketball history.” A little desperate? Or a smooth Mayoral strategy?
