The USA Women’s Volleyball team has dominated it’s way through pool play, dropping only 2 sets in their first 5 matches including a 3-1 victory of the world’s second ranked team, Brazil. And well on their way to a dominating victory over the Dominican Republic in the quarterfinals.

Leading the way for Team USA is Destinee Hooker, the tournament’s second leading scorer thus far. If you’ve caught any broadcast of the USA Women so far you’ve undoubtedly heard mention that Hooker was also a 4 time NCAA High Jump champion at the University of Texas. If you’ve seen her go a up for hit, you’ll understand why as she seemingly rises above the block time and again. 

Truly a world-class athlete.
