What is it that the clergy tell the downtrodden, the ones with no hope? When all else fails, trust in the Lord, right?
Montreal’s Catholic archdiocese believes the Lord will heed the desperate pleas of Montreal Canadiens fans. The faithful of the the blue, blanc et rouge just have to ask.
On Tuesday, the archdiocese ran a simple, full-page advertisement in the city’s French language papers.

Paulina Gretzky tweeted a very bizarro Kardashian like Christmas family portrait to her loyal followers/stalkers on Christmas day. Find it hard to believe “The Great One” would approve this tweet?
You’ve got to hand to Jets (back-up) goalie Chris Mason for taking the time and effort to emblazon this super terrific Jets logo on his pads. If these pads don’t boost his playing time, nothing will.
The Sidney Crosby comeback is complete: 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 points and a first star nod. Here’s a vid of Sid scoring his first goal of the night, top shelf where Mama hides the cookies.
Our friend John writes: Although last night’s baseball game was ‘the most interesting and entertaining game anyone has ever seen’, it’s funny that a game with so many errors and sub-par pitching makes for ‘best baseball game ever” for some. Yet a hockey game that changes leads 4 or 5 times and ends up 9-8 (record for goals in one game) was a brutal display of goaltending and defense.

“When you’ve waited this long you just want to make sure you do everything right,” … “It’s exciting. It’s hard to be patient at this point. Getting closer. Just want to make sure I respond well.”

“The Leafs, who matter to Torontonians more than all the other teams combined, have not won the Stanley Cup since 1967, and they haven’t made the playoffs in a franchise-record six seasons. The only team with a longer dry spell is the Florida Panthers. The Leafs’ major source of hope seems to be Brian Burke himself, but when the major source of your dreams is a front-office guy, you are in a dark place. Cheering a GM, to me, is hitting rock bottom.”
And the redesign tweak of the Winnipeg Jets new logo goes to…
ckck:
The Winnipeg Jets just unveiled their new logo(s) yesterday, and the result was neither the throwback to their former glory days I was hoping for or particularly good. So, I decided I’d have a little fun and see what I could come up with.
The Winnipeg Jets just dropped their new logo. At first glance, we dig.
The design for the new logo, which was developed in partnership with Reebok and the NHL, was inspired by the logo of the Royal Canadian Air Force.
